Chronic or recent back pain or injury.
Tips and Pointers
If you can’t round your back, a partner can place their hand above and between your shoulder blades to help activate that area
Keep special attention on your back and neck… do not over extend.
Try following this pose with Child’s Pose.
Modifications
Beginners should place a folded blanket under their knees to protect from pressure or pain.

The Mechanics of the Pose
- Begin on your hands and knees in a tabletop position. Knees should be directly below your hips and your arms perpendicular to the floor. Bring your gaze to the floor.
- Exhale and round your spine.
- Drop your head between your shoulders.
- Don’t force your chin to your chest, but bring your gaze to your navel.
- Inhale and come back to the tabletop position.
